These terms apply to the Starring Life app, record backup and optional AI assistance provided by DeepHigh Co., Ltd. in the Republic of Korea. They apply to new contracts from October 10, 2026, and to existing contracts after individual notice, at least 30 days' notice and any required consent.
Article 1 (Purpose)
- These terms define the rights, duties, transaction conditions and responsibilities of DeepHigh Co., Ltd. (the Company) and users of the Starring Life app (Japanese service name: 人生主演) and connected record backup and optional AI assistance (the Service).
Article 2 (Definitions)
- 1. User means a person using the Service under these terms, including a person using device recording without signing in.
- 2. Member means a person who connects a Google account to use Company account services.
- 3. Device records means writing, photos, edit history, book structure and related materials stored on a user's phone or other device. Server copies means materials the user chooses to back up on Company servers.
- 4. Plan means the right to use paid record backup. Monthly and annual plans are recurring subscriptions; previously purchased lifetime plans remain one-time purchases without recurring payments and are no longer sold.
- 5. AI assistance means features that process selected writing, photos or audio to extract text, transcribe speech or polish writing.
- 6. Cancelling automatic renewal means stopping the next payment. It is distinct from withdrawal from an existing contract, contract cancellation, early termination, account closure and deletion of materials.
Article 3 (Company information and contact)
- The Company's details are as follows.
- - Company: DeepHigh Co., Ltd. - Representative: Shim Chung-seop - Address: Unit 202, Building 110, 50 Geomdan-ro, Buk-gu, Daegu, Republic of Korea (Bokhyeon-dong, Bokhyeon Seohan Town) - Business registration: 798-86-01094 - Mail-order registration: No. 2026-Daegu Buk-gu-0751 - Registration authority: Buk-gu Office, Daegu - Telephone: 02-3443-1028 - Support: task@deephigh.ai
Article 4 (Providing, explaining, changing and interpreting terms)
- 1. Users can read these terms in app settings and before registration. Before a contract is made, the Company explains important conditions including price, term, renewal, withdrawal, termination, retention, deletion and service closure in an understandable way, and provides a copy on request.
- 2. The Company may change these terms within applicable law. Important or unfavorable changes are announced at least 30 days before application; other changes at least seven days before. Notices state the date, reasons and before-and-after content. Changes affecting a member's contract also require individual notice under Article 8 and consent.
- 3. Applying changes to existing contracts follows valid user consent and applicable law. Silence or continued app use alone is not treated as blanket agreement to important unfavorable changes. Existing contracts of users who disagree are respected; if continuation is impossible or unavoidable circumstances arise, necessary remedies including termination, refunds and damages are provided.
- 4. Operational notices do not arbitrarily change important contract conditions or statutory rights. Valid individual agreements prevail over these terms, except provisions contrary to mandatory law.
- 5. These terms are interpreted fairly and in good faith. Ambiguity is interpreted in the user's favor. Matters not covered follow applicable Korean law and valid individual agreements.
Article 5 (Formation of the service contract)
- 1. Users may apply after reviewing features and transaction conditions. Membership begins when the Company accepts a Google account connection application by a user who has reviewed and agreed to these terms, creating a member account.
- 2. Free device recording is available without Google sign-in. Using free features alone does not create a paid plan contract or start recurring billing.
- 3. The Company may refuse or defer acceptance for justified reasons, including account misuse, materially false information or threats to security or normal operations. Reasons are explained; applications are not rejected arbitrarily.
- 4. Paid plan contracts follow the product and transaction review and Google Play purchase process in Article 10. Pending or failed payment is distinct from completed provision of a paid plan.
Article 6 (Age and protection of minors)
- 1. Member account services are for users aged 14 and over. Minors aged 14 and over may use them, but must obtain legal representative consent for contracts requiring it under the Civil Act.
- 2. Before registration and payment, the Company informs users that a minor or legal representative may cancel a contract made without required consent. Exceptions follow the Civil Act and other applicable law.
- 3. The age-14 confirmation before registration is self-declaration, not verification of birth date or representative consent. A terms checkbox or Google sign-in is not treated as representative consent or waiver of a minor's cancellation rights.
- 4. Cancellation and refunds for minors follow Articles 14 and 17.
Article 7 (Account security and recovery)
- 1. Members must protect their connected Google accounts and avoid using others' accounts or abusing accounts. On discovering theft or unauthorized use, they may protect their Google account and ask the Company for necessary measures.
- 2. The Company takes security measures needed for safe operations. It does not shift responsibility for account management failures attributable to it onto users.
- 3. Backup and purchase restoration depend on the account connected at purchase or backup and plan verification. The Company does not arbitrarily transfer another user's materials or purchase rights and may request minimum identity and authority information for recovery.
- 4. Signing in alone does not automatically back up device records or restore records that were never backed up. Users can check completed backups and recoverable materials.
Article 8 (Notices to users)
- 1. Important individual matters, including contracts, payments, restrictions and server deletion, are notified through an actually available contact route such as the member's connected email. In-app notices may accompany them.
- 2. General notices may be posted in the app or a public notice page for at least seven days. General posting alone does not replace individual notice of important matters affecting a member's contract.
- 3. If individual contact details are unknown or notification is impossible for user-side reasons, notices are posted in the app or public page accessible to users. Other appropriate contact routes known to the Company are also used.
- 4. Notices may not arrive because permission was refused, the app was removed, contact details changed or delivery failed. These circumstances alone do not imply consent to important contract changes or waiver of statutory rights.
- 5. Consent to advertising is separate from service consent. Necessary transaction and security notices are not made conditional on advertising consent.
Article 9 (Service features and requirements)
- 1. Free device features allow users to write, store and read writing and photos on their devices. Editing, organization and device export follow the guidance for each feature.
- 2. Paid record backup stores and restores selected records through the account linked to a plan. Supported materials include writing, photos, edit history, transcription text and book structure, but not original recordings.
- 3. AI assistance processes only materials selected and requested by the user. Actual feature scope and conditions are explained before each request.
- 4. Requirements such as internet, device operating system, storage space, Google account and Google Play environment are explained before use. Network-dependent and device features are distinguished.
- 5. The Company does not add undisclosed restrictions after purchase as important contract conditions. Storage or AI limits must be clearly explained, including their scope and operation. The name lifetime plan does not itself promise unlimited storage or AI use.
Article 10 (Products, prices, supply and contract documents)
- 1. Initial reference prices and payment cycles in the Republic of Korea are below. Actual transactions follow the price, term and conditions reviewed and agreed to on Google Play before purchase.
- Monthly backup plan / KRW 4,900 per month / Automatic monthly renewal Annual backup plan / KRW 36,000 per year / Automatic annual renewal The lifetime plan is no longer sold. Rights from previous purchases are preserved.
- 2. The annual total is the main price for the annual plan. A monthly equivalent is supplementary and must not be confused with a monthly billing price. No extra fee is charged because of the user's chosen payment method.
- 3. Before payment, users can review product details, term, price, payment method and timing, renewal, withdrawal, termination, refunds, technical requirements and any additional charges. They can correct their choices or stop the purchase.
- 4. Payment uses Google Play billing. The Company verifies payment and entitlement before providing paid features to the account. Payment confirmation and plan activation do not mean individual records have been backed up. Pending transactions are not shown as completed entitlements.
- 5. Unless otherwise agreed, the Company takes necessary supply measures within seven days of application, or within three business days of payment for prepaid transactions. On learning that supply is difficult, it promptly explains why and refunds or takes other necessary measures under law.
- 6. By supply, the Company provides required contract details electronically or otherwise, including company and supplier information, product, price, term, payment and supply conditions, withdrawal, termination, refunds, defect remedies, technical conditions, terms access and dispute procedures. Users can access transaction and payment information.
- 7. A previously purchased lifetime plan is a one-time product without recurring expiry or deletion for inactivity while valid. Its term lasts while the Company operates the service. If the Company closes the service for its own reasons, the full actual purchase price is refunded under Article 25.
Article 11 (Recurring payment, renewal and price changes)
- 1. Monthly and annual plans renew according to the cycle and conditions agreed at purchase. Lifetime plans do not renew automatically.
- 2. Before recurring payment, the Company notifies the amount, timing and method through available routes such as email. When relying on Google Play notices, it checks that required information was actually provided.
- 3. Before increasing recurring charges or converting free service to a paid subscription, the Company obtains consent to timing, old and new prices and payment method within the 30-day pre-change period prescribed by law, and explains cancellation and termination conditions, methods and effects. Initial registration consent is not treated as consent to a new increase or paid conversion.
- 4. Without required renewal, increase or conversion consent, payment under changed conditions is not processed. The Company explains planned service end or continuation conditions and does not unfairly extinguish acquired rights.
- 5. Google Play's payment-failure grace period differs from server retention grace under Article 18. Guidance is based on actual plan status.
Article 12 (Cancelling renewal and early termination)
- 1. Users can cancel the next payment in Google Play subscription management. The app provides guidance to this route.
- 2. Cancelling the next renewal retains benefits until the already-paid term ends. The cancellation date is not treated as actual plan expiry or the start of server deletion grace.
- 3. Unless law provides otherwise, users may terminate continuing-transaction contracts during their term. They may distinguish cancelling renewal from early termination and refund requests. Withdrawal, minors' cancellation and defect remedies remain separately protected.
- 4. Early termination refunds are based on actual payment and services already provided. The Company does not unfairly refuse repayment exceeding the value supplied or impose penalties substantially exceeding termination losses. Calculations and grounds are explained.
- 5. Monthly and annual unused-term refunds are calculated by applying the unused proportion of the paid term to actual payment, unless law or valid more favorable conditions apply. Company-attributable termination and separate damages follow Articles 15, 25 and 26.
- 6. Removing the app, signing out, closing an account or deleting materials does not automatically cancel Google Play subscriptions. The Company explains the need to cancel separately.
Article 13 (Withdrawal)
- 1. Users may withdraw from a paid plan within seven days of receiving a written or electronic contract. If supply begins later, the period runs from receipt or commencement of supply. The Company guarantees withdrawal during this period and does not refuse it merely because paid features have started.
- 2. If withdrawal was prevented by missing contract documents or Company address details, the applicable period is seven days from learning or being able to learn the address. If withdrawal was obstructed, it is seven days from the end of obstruction, or other periods prescribed by law.
- 3. If supply differs from advertising or the contract, withdrawal is available within three months of supply and within 30 days of learning or being able to learn the discrepancy. Expiry of the ordinary seven-day period does not limit this right.
- 4. Google Play refund requests are the primary withdrawal channel. Check the order with the purchasing Google account and request a refund or report a problem. Guidance: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/15574897?hl=en.
- 5. If Play cannot accept the request or Company statutory duties require action, contact the Company by the email, telephone or address in Article 3. Play's internal criteria or submission failure alone do not justify refusing statutory or contractual withdrawal.
- 6. Statutory written withdrawal takes effect when the written notice is sent. Other methods, including electronic documents, follow applicable law. The Company explains necessary transaction identifiers but does not demand excessive proof or unnecessary personal information. It bears proof of facts and timing of contracting or supply where law requires it.
- 7. Withdrawal refunds follow Article 17. No penalty or damages are charged for withdrawal.
Article 14 (Cancellation by minors and for input errors)
- 1. A minor who entered a paid contract without required representative consent, their representative or another authorized person may cancel under the Civil Act. Exceptions depend on individual facts; an age checkbox or account ownership alone does not remove cancellation rights.
- 2. The Company checks the contract and consent needed for a cancellation request and refunds valid cancellations. The scope of restitution, interest and other effects follow law. Deleting or transferring the user's own records to the Company is not a refund condition.
- 3. If the Company did not provide procedures to prevent input mistakes, such as reviewing and correcting purchase details, and a material mistake caused the contract, the user may cancel. Requirements and exceptions, including gross negligence, follow applicable law.
- 4. Google Play cancellation and refund channels are available. Contact the Company about rights concerning missing guardian consent, input mistakes or submission problems. These cancellations are not refused solely because the ordinary seven-day withdrawal period passed.
Article 15 (Remedies for non-supply, defects and breach)
- 1. If paid service is not supplied as agreed, users may demand supply within a reasonable period and rescind or terminate if it is not supplied. Where the Company refuses supply, timing is essential to the contract, supply is impossible for reasons attributable to it, or law otherwise permits, users may rescind or terminate without a further demand.
- 2. For defective or nonconforming service, users may seek conforming supply, repair, restoration, price reduction, rescission or termination according to law and the contract's purpose. Remedies are not unfairly restricted where repair or achieving the contract purpose is impossible.
- 3. On confirming a problem, the Company explains supply, restoration, refund measures and progress. Valid damages claims may be made separately from refunds or repairs.
- 4. Non-supply, defect and breach refunds follow the law and terms for each ground. Article 13's ordinary seven-day period is not applied universally to all remedies.
Article 16 (Return of overpayments)
- 1. Amounts paid above the contract price through duplicate charges or errors are verified and returned to the original payment method. If that is impossible, the reason is explained and a method chosen by the user is used.
- 2. Overpayments attributable to the Company are returned in full with interest at 6% annually from receipt to return, unless a valid higher rate was agreed or law provides otherwise.
- 3. For user-attributable overpayments, reasonable actual return costs may be deducted. Grounds and calculations are explained, without unfair refund fees.
- 4. If the Company refuses an overpayment claim, it proves that no overpayment exists. Inquiries may use Google Play transaction verification and Company contacts in Article 3.
Article 17 (Refund deadlines, methods and delay compensation)
- 1. Statutory withdrawal refunds for digital content or online services are made within three business days of withdrawal. The same legal deadline applies to unsupplied services. Where no physical return is required, waiting for a return is not grounds to delay a refund.
- 2. The Company promptly asks payment providers such as Google Play to stop or cancel charges, returns payments received under statutory procedures and informs the user. Provider and Company roles are distinguished without transferring all Company refund obligations to another business.
- 3. Delayed statutory refunds receive delay compensation under applicable law. The current E-Commerce Act rate is 15% annually; amended law applies if changed. Differences between legal deadlines and the payment method's posting time are explained without excluding Company-attributable delay liability.
- 4. Minors' or mistake cancellation, early termination, defects, non-supply, overpayment and closure refunds use the amounts, starting points, interest and deadlines applicable to each ground. Valid balance refunds for continuing-transaction termination delayed by at least three business days include delay compensation under standard terms and law. Restitution on contract rescission, distinct from withdrawal, includes 6% annual interest from receipt to refund unless a valid higher rate or law applies.
- 5. Refunds use the original payment method. If unavailable, an appropriate method chosen by the user is used. Cash-equivalent refunds are not replaced with points, plans or coupons without consent.
- 6. Deductions for services actually provided or costs are limited to law and valid contract conditions, with grounds and calculations disclosed. No arbitrary rights-exercise penalties, general processing fees or deductions infringing statutory rights are imposed.
- 7. Refunds or contract end may change paid access, but do not make device originals Company property or permit arbitrary deletion. Server retention and deletion follow actual entitlement status, explicit deletion requests and Articles 18 and 24.
Article 18 (Retention, backup, expiry and export)
- 1. Writing, photos and other source materials belong to the user. Device saving, server backup and AI processing statuses are distinguished. Google sign-in or purchase alone is not shown as backup of all records.
- 2. Server copies are not deleted solely for inactivity while a plan is valid. Valid lifetime plans have no recurring expiry, so monthly or annual expiry deletion rules do not apply.
- 3. Actual expiry of a monthly or annual plan starts a 30-day server retention grace period. It starts at actual expiry, not cancellation of the next renewal. Server copies are deleted after grace, and deleted server data cannot be restored from that server.
- 4. The Company explains expiry, scheduled deletion, downloadable and recoverable materials, and provides routes to obtain remaining data. Recovery of already deleted data is not guaranteed. Receipt of a deletion notice alone is not treated as consent to retention or deletion conditions.
- 5. Deleting server copies alone does not delete originals already saved on the phone. Users may use available device export features. Separate server download assistance on service closure follows Article 25.
- 6. Temporary original recordings used for speech recognition are not server backup materials. They are encrypted on the device for a retry period of up to 24 hours and processed on success, cancellation or expiry. Physical cleanup while the app is not running is distinguished from expiry-based access restriction.
- 7. Explicit user deletion requests take priority over ordinary retention and backup grace. Statutory transaction records are handled separately from user-authored records.
Article 19 (Optional AI assistance)
- 1. AI assistance covers only materials selected and requested by the user. The Company does not process all unrequested records in bulk or treat Google sign-in as consent to AI processing.
- 2. AI results may omit or misrecognize content or be inaccurate. Users review and choose whether to apply them. Successful generation and successful source saving are separate statuses.
- 3. AI suggestions respect originals and user choices. Available history and undo features are explained. AI results are not represented as guaranteeing facts or professional judgment.
- 4. These terms do not grant blanket permission to use user records for Company model training, advertising, promotion or other purposes beyond requested services. External provider processing, retention and transfers follow the Privacy Policy and required separate notices.
- 5. Possible AI errors do not exempt the Company from intentional or grossly negligent conduct or statutory responsibility. Feature limits and paid conditions are explained before use so users can choose.
Article 20 (Intellectual property and permission to use records)
- 1. Intellectual property in app software, design and Company-created materials belongs to the Company or legitimate rights holders. Users may use the Service within their lawful rights, including statutory exceptions.
- 2. Rights in records users create or lawfully use belong to them or relevant rights holders. Users may edit, copy, print and export their records. Service use does not transfer ownership or copyright to the Company.
- 3. The Company processes materials only as needed for requested storage, backup, restoration, selected AI processing and output. It does not require permission exceeding necessary scope or duration, exclusive permission, or permanent promotional or training rights.
- 4. Other uses require necessary legal grounds and separate permission unless law permits otherwise. Uploading materials does not extinguish third-party rights.
Article 21 (Personal information and optional permissions)
- 1. The Company processes and protects personal information under the Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable law. A separate Privacy Policy explains processing and rights.
- 2. Agreement to terms, lawful processing grounds, individual consent, Google authentication and device photo, microphone and notification permissions are distinct. A Privacy Policy checkbox is not blanket consent to all disclosures, overseas transfers or sensitive processing.
- 3. Features requiring permissions explain the information, purpose and optional nature and provide appropriate permission procedures. Refusing optional permissions unnecessary for basic service does not prevent basic recording.
- 4. Statutory access, correction, deletion and restriction rights remain separately protected. Plan ownership or special paid-user downloads on closure are not conditions for exercising these rights.
Article 22 (Company and user obligations)
- 1. The Company and users exercise rights and perform duties in good faith. The Company honors promised features and transaction conditions and takes necessary measures for security, rights and complaint handling.
- 2. Users must not use the Service unlawfully, including account theft, payment fraud, unauthorized access to others' materials, malware, security bypass or operational interference. They must respect third-party rights and avoid unauthorized use of materials they have no authority to process.
- 3. The Service stores personal records and does not promise a public board or public distribution between users. The Company does not broadly inspect or delete private records under nonexistent public-post rules.
- 4. Violations are assessed on objective grounds within necessary scope. Accounts, materials and paid rights are not removed for mere differences in expression or opinion with the Company.
Article 23 (Restrictions, explanations and appeals)
- 1. When unlawful conduct under Article 22 is confirmed or objective service or user protection needs arise, the Company may restrict related features or accounts as necessary. Reasons, scope, duration and appeal methods are promptly explained.
- 2. Prior notice and an opportunity to correct are ordinarily provided. For account theft, security breaches or urgent harm where advance notice is difficult, necessary temporary measures may precede prompt explanation and appeal guidance.
- 3. At least one week is provided to explain feature or account restrictions or suspension, and at least 30 days for loss of membership. Permanent restrictions require serious reasons such as repeated violations or failure to correct.
- 4. Users may explain or appeal through Article 3 contacts. The Company reviews and explains results and grounds, lifting or adjusting restrictions when justified.
- 5. Restrictions do not automatically forfeit paid rights or delete device originals. Termination, refunds, server materials and damages follow applicable law and the terms relevant to each ground.
Article 24 (Account closure and deletion)
- 1. Members may request account closure anytime. Without a justified legal reason, the Company processes it promptly and explains remaining stages and completion.
- 2. Member data on closure and separate record deletion requests follow the Privacy Policy and applicable law. Statutory transaction and dispute records are stored separately by purpose and period and processed when retention grounds end.
- 3. Server materials, temporary files, provider backups and statutory records may have different processing methods and timing. The Company does not imply simultaneous physical deletion at the instant of request and explains actual scope and remaining records.
- 4. Membership closure and Google Play cancellation are separate. Before closure, the Company explains remaining entitlements, obtaining data and cancelling subscriptions. Closure alone does not justify refusing valid refund or dispute requests.
- 5. Explicit deletion requests take priority over ordinary original preservation and grace periods. Exceptions for minimum statutory records are explained with their grounds and periods.
Article 25 (Changes, maintenance, outages and service closure)
- 1. The Company operates for stable service. Necessary temporary suspension may occur for maintenance, failures, communication outages, security or substantial operational reasons. Scheduled maintenance is announced at least one week ahead with timing and impact. If advance notice is unavoidable, reasons and circumstances are promptly explained afterward.
- 2. Important changes or reductions to existing paid features follow Article 4 notice, consent and remedies. Updates or operational policies do not arbitrarily change core paid features, terms or refund rights. Update timing, version, content, requirements and effects of not updating are explained.
- 3. Outage remedies for fixed-term paid services such as monthly or annual plans follow these standards. User-caused outages are excluded. Separate Company damages and more favorable statutory rights remain protected.
- 1. If unannounced interruptions or outages exceed a cumulative 72 hours in one month, users may rescind or terminate. Remaining-term payments, including unused periods, are refunded and attributable damages compensated. 2. For unannounced outages totaling 72 hours or less attributable to the Company, the term is extended free by three times the outage. Force majeure or unlawful third-party acts receive an extension equal to the outage. 3. If announced outages exceed 10 hours in a month, the free extension equals 10 hours plus twice the excess; at 10 hours or less it equals the outage. Standard-terms conditions excluding up to 24 monthly hours of improvement maintenance may apply, but arbitrary maintenance labels do not exclude all outages. 4. Advance notice ordinarily means at least 24 hours before an interruption or outage. Applicable standards govern force majeure preventing notice.
- 4. If extending the term under paragraph 3 is technically difficult, an equivalent refund is calculated using actual payment and the full paid term. Calculations and methods are explained, preserving more favorable statutory remedies. Lifetime plans have no recurring expiry, so extension is not treated as a meaningful remedy; restoration and appropriate statutory refunds or damages apply.
- 5. On service closure, the Company gives at least 30 days' notice of reasons, schedule, paid-plan treatment, data access and contact routes, with individual member notices. Where legal or factual circumstances make prior notice impossible, notice is given promptly when possible with necessary remedies.
- 6. Separate server-data downloads on closure are offered to users who purchased a paid plan. Before closure, they receive an opportunity and method to obtain their own materials actually retained by the Company. Already lawfully deleted data is not promised to be restored. Free users' device records, existing device export and statutory privacy rights are not restricted by this paragraph.
- 7. If Company closure prevents performance of monthly or annual contracts, unused-term payments are refunded with applicable legal responsibility. Lifetime plans receive the full actual purchase price when closure is for Company reasons, without deductions for years or frequency of use or an arbitrarily defined term. No arbitrary number of years is assigned afterward to lifetime service, nor all refunds denied without separate agreement.
- 8. After closure, contact routes and procedures remain explained for valid refunds and disputes. Unnecessary repurchase or extra charges are not required for refunds or obtaining data.
Article 26 (Damages and responsibility)
- 1. A party causing loss through breach of contract or law bears responsibility according to law and attribution. Unless law or these terms provide otherwise, applicable standards govern proof of absence of intent or negligence.
- 2. Liability for intent or gross negligence of the Company, assistants or staff, statutory privacy damages and other mandatory responsibility is not excluded or unfairly limited. Free features, external providers or possible AI errors do not remove all Company responsibility.
- 3. Device damage, account theft, network problems and force majeure are assessed according to actual fault and causation. Involvement of an external service alone does not shift Company management or performance duties to users.
- 4. Damages and penalties claimed from users comply with legal limits. No unfair claims exceed statutory or standard benchmarks for the transaction, such as normal fees, legitimate use benefits or sale price. Statutory withdrawal does not incur penalties or damages.
- 5. Actual, punitive and statutory privacy damages follow the requirements and effective dates of current privacy law. These terms do not reduce statutory caps or place all proof burdens on users.
Article 27 (Support and dispute resolution)
- 1. Article 3 contacts handle inquiries, outages, data processing and rights. Google Play is the primary withdrawal channel; the Company responds as needed to submission problems, statutory rights and disputes.
- 2. The Company checks complaints and disputes, explains measures and progress and consults to resolve them. Not using internal review does not prevent statutory withdrawal, court action or other rights.
- 3. Unresolved matters may be referred to appropriate bodies such as the Consumer Dispute Settlement Commission, Content Dispute Resolution Committee or Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee. Mediation is not made a mandatory prerequisite to court action.
- 4. Arbitration requires a separate valid written agreement under applicable law. Agreeing to these terms alone does not send all disputes to compulsory arbitration.
Article 28 (Governing law and jurisdiction)
- 1. These terms and contracts for the service initially offered in Korea follow Korean law. User rights separately protected by mandatory provisions or private international law are not infringed.
- 2. Service contract lawsuits between the Company and consumers fall within the district court for the consumer's address when filed, or residence if no address exists. If address or residence is unclear or another jurisdiction is prescribed, the Civil Procedure Act and applicable law apply.
- 3. Exclusive compulsory Company-location courts or unfairly unfavorable jurisdiction or litigation-prohibition conditions are not imposed on consumers.
Supplementary provisions (Commencement and existing contracts)
- 1. These terms take effect for new contracts on October 10, 2026.
- 2. Existing contracts receive individual notice of changes and application dates, at least 30 days' notice and required consent before application. Terms are not unilaterally applied retroactively without individual notice and consent.
- 3. Existing users who disagree receive the contract, termination and refund treatment in Article 4. The Privacy Policy effective date or publication of new terms alone does not remove consent or transition periods.
